Dear Families and Friends of

Immaculate Heart of Mary,

Today’s well-known gospel set in the darkness of night. Nicodemus, a Jewish leader and Pharisee, visits Jesus after the sun goes down to avoid being seen with the man who makes the religious leaders of the day tremble. Professing belief in Jesus brings about real consequences. We may be judged or dismissed by others. Perhaps even mor difficult, we may have our own sinfulness exposed as we strive to live in the light of Christ. Lent is a season of transition as we journey with Jesus from the darkness of death to the Easter light of new life. Consider spending time this week intentionally reflecting on your sins. Ask for God’s healing mercy through the sacrament of reconciliation or in the quiet of your prayer time. On Tuesday, March 12, at 7:00PM we will be having our Lenten Penance Service. There will be no 6:00PM Confessions. We have invited many priests to come to our Penance Service. Also, in the bulletin, we have announcement that Parishes in our Deanery are also having Penance Services that you may attend. Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

Hemos invitado a muchos sacerdotes a venir a nuestra Penitencia Cuaresmal.
