Level II formation builds on the foundation of Level I and invites the adult to go more deeply into the religious life of the older child, especially the child aged 6 to 9. Through prayer, study, reflection, and work with materials, participants grow in their understanding of Scripture, liturgy, and the child’s relationship with God. Training Overview This Level II formation is intended for those who have already completed CGS Level I Formation and are ready to continue their formation in service to children. She brings extensive experience in formation, guiding catechists deeply into the spiritual life of the child and the richness of Scripture and Liturgy. Course Description Level II formation focuses on the spiritual life and developmental needs of the 6–9-year-old child. Participants will explore key biblical and liturgical themes central to Level II atrium life, deepen their understanding of the child’s relationship with God, and receive guidance in preparing albums and materials for this level. Please note that auditing is intended for those who have already completed Level II certification and are seeking ongoing formation rather than initial training. Refund Policy Refund requests due to participant cancellation will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Faith Formation Leader and the parish CGS Coordinator. Please note that, in most cases, refunds will not be issued after the training has begun. These works, primarily written by Sofia Cavalletti, are foundational to the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and will be used throughout the formation.
